What is a Discovery Flight?
Discovery flights are an excellent opportunity for anybody thinking about
starting flight training. Discovery flights allow you to fly the airplane
with one of our Certified Flight Instructors and get a feel for what it’s
like to be a pilot. During the flight, you will perform basic maneuvers, see
local landmarks, and experience the thrill of controlling the airplane
yourself.
Discovery flights allow you to feel the excitement and joy flying brings
before beginning your flight training journey. This allows you the
opportunity to ensure that flying is right for you before you invest in your
flying career.
We offer hour-long discovery flights in a DA-20 and a DA-40.
What does a discovery flight cost?
DA20 – $99 + Tax (paid in advance)
DA40 – $199 + Tax (paid in advance)
CCBC students are eligible for a discounted half-hour long discovery flight. This
discovery flight requires a $50 deposit. If you choose to fly at
ACES, you will be credited $100 towards your flight account.
Requirements for discovery flights
- Government issued photo I.D.
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Credit Card for advance payment or deposit
- Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) Students must provide college I.D. or proof of registration.
